Namaste in Sanskit means "bowing to you", or "I bow to you", and is used as a respectful greeting to express peace, appreciation and gratitude, and used as a hello and goodbye in passing. 🙏🏽

And a reminder that in some cultures, respect is very hard to earn, and not so readily shared, but to start on such a respectful note with a stranger...is pretty mind-boggling and beautiful to say the least...
